FLIGHT AUGER CUTTERHEADS
BULLDOG HEAD
A tough, multi-purpose auger head for full range drilling. Uses replaceable cone-shaped carbide insert bits
depending upon the formation requirements. Bits are designed to revolve during the cutting action for a
more uniform wear pattern and longer service life. Recommended for abrasive conditions and difficult
hard formations. Note: Bits are furnished with lock rings installed. Drill head O.D. is approximately
10% larger than corresponding auger flight O.D. Sizes are identified by the hole size, not actual flight
diameter.

Bit prongs with brazed-on tungsten carbide inserts are set to “bite” for maximum penetration
and minimum machine load. Recommended for medium hard nonuniform formation.
Especially good for small bore horizontal or vertical holes. Note: 3 3/4″ (95.2mm) bit
recommended for 3 1/2″ (88.9mm) hole size auger. Sizes are identified by the hole size, not
actual flight diameter.
