For shallow wells, sonic-welded PVC screens have continuous slot design producing
more open area for a given slot size than any other non-metallic screen available. PVC
resists corrosion and may be treated repeatedly with acid to remove encrustations.
Screens to 6-inch diameter are made with standard rod base .8-inch diameter screens
have channel-rod base for enhanced strength.

(3) Collapse strengths are calculated values. No safety factor included. (4) Hang weights are the maximum combined weight of riser and screen from the top of the screen.
All strength properties are based on 72° F temperature. * Alternate construction for environmental applications.
